They say you can’t reinvent the wheel or improve the design of the bicycle. Gocycle® did both. So passionate was Richard Thorpe about creating the perfect e-bike that he left a dream design job with McLaren Cars to dedicate all of his time to that purpose.
With his experience in designing lightweight racing car components and enthusiasm for innovative engineering excellence, Richard believed that an e-bike should be elegant, desirable, a joy to live with and fun. First dreamed of in 2002, GocycleG1 design was perfected over years of dedicated research and development, and launched in Europe in 2009 to international acclaim, winning Best Electric Bike award at Eurobike.
Since then, Gocycle® has introduced the first e-bike with Daytime Running Lights, the only bike with quick-release side-mounted wheels, and to universal acclaim a fast-folding bike in 2019. Gocycle G4
The Gocycle G4 is the ultimate travel companion for anyone looking for a healthier, smarter and more sustainable commute. G4 has gained critical acclaim across the globe with its award-winning combination of the ride comfort and dynamics of a full-size bike with all the versatility of a folding e-bike. Owners will appreciate the intuitive folding mechanism that makes it possible to fold and stow the G4 into a compact package in just 10 seconds which enables easy storage when not in use. Once folded it can be rolled along on its wheels making it incredibly versatile and easy to live with.
G4 features a discreet 1amp USB port for phone charging on the go and Low Energy Bluetooth for seamless connectivity to the GocycleConnect App. Owners can use the App to create personalised riding modes and view interesting health statistics such as calories burned, maximum and average pedal power.

Gocycle G4i
The Gocycle G4i sets a new standard for lightweight design, innovation and performance in the portable urban e-bike segment, featuring the latest versions of Gocycle’s industry-leading rider-focused technologies.
These features include a bespoke cockpit on the handlebar which presents all the information a rider needs on a streamlined F1-inspired LED dash that displays battery level, driving mode, speed and gear position. G4i is also specified with Gocycle’s predictive electronic gear shift which automatically downshifts through the gears when slowing down ensuring that the rider is never in the wrong gear, especially when the lights go green. The award-winning model has the latest iteration of Gocycle’s iconic automotive-inspired Daytime Running Light (DRL) which enhances the safety of riders by ensuring they can be seen from further away.

Gocycle G4i+
The G4i+ embodies the very best of Gocycle’s automotive-inspired design ethos and engineering expertise to deliver one of the most exclusive electric bikes available today. The halo model is specified with an ultra-lightweight carbon variant of Gocycle’s world-speed record PitstopWheels® and available in bespoke Red, Gloss black and Yellow editions to ensure riders stand out from the crowd. Owner’s will enjoy sure-footed steering around corners and superior handling capability and comfort levels owing to the G4i+’s single-sided carbon fibre front fork and lightweight carbon fibre mid-frame.
All electronics and cabling are internally routed through the frame giving a class-leading, clean, seamless design. A fully integrated quick removable 375 Wh battery is housed in the G4i+’s fast-folding frame, providing a range of up to 50 miles with a 3.5-hour charge time.
